The ABC can reveal that the Federal Government has been warned by its own advisers that tapping gas reserves, particularly in the northern territory, could undermine efforts to meet its 2030 Paris emissions reduction target. The Morrison Government is adamant that Australia will meet the 2030 target and has said developing more gas is one way to get there. But as Jane Bardon reports, that goes against expert advice.
